In September of 2024 Hurricane Helene ripped through the southern United States, devastating many areas and people. Most severely effected was the Appalachian region of the US specifically Western North Carolina.
Art and Design by Lauren Panichelli, Melissa Jacobs, and Daniel Helm. Inspired by the rich history of quilts and their motifs, this design references the harmony present throughout the quilts of the Appalachian region.
